o Dickens festival dates and times have been selected; December 8; 6-10 pm and December 9; 4-10 pm.
o Many LCA Board member positions are complete in December, 2006. We need to identify all member position expiring. Each term is 2 years and a member can only serve 3 terms. Seth Martin volunteered to lead the nominating committee.

Larrabee and North Avenue Green Space
o Vi Daley agreed that the city will take responsibility for cutting the grass and maintaining the green space at North and Larrabee. LCA will no longer have responsibility for this space.
o LCA will monitor to ensure that the maintenance is completed by the city.

Zoning
o A meeting is planned for May 30 with Vi Daley to discuss the back yard green space. Code requires open space between the garage and the building.
o LCA zoning recommends adherence to the code and we believe that Vi Daley is in agreement.

Summer Community Meeting
o A recommendation was made to hold a community meeting in September to avoid summer vacation conflicts and attract greater participation. The recommendation was approved. Potential discussion topics include LPHS parking lot plans, Traffic safety, others TBD.

Other Discussion Topics
o With the construction this summer on the Armitage CTA stop, Arnitage will need to be closed to car and pedestrian traffic. Discussions are ongoing with the area merchants on the best approach to closing Armitage for construction.
o Seth Martin sent an e-mail to the Board on May 26 with updates on several topics he discussed with Vi Daley, to include the CTA stop, LPHS parking and the performing arts center and community group presidents meeting.
o Rick Rausch forwarded an email on May 31 from Vi Daley addressing Traffic Safety following the tragic death on a child near Lincoln Park zoo.
