Safety Meeting Nov 12

In the Lincoln Park area, as in any urban neighborhood, the safety and security of its residents is always a concern. While our local police do an excellent job at protecting us from unwanted intrusion by others, there are many things that we as citizens can do to secure our own homes and persons.

With this in mind, the Lincoln Central Association, a local neighborhood organization, has asked Dr. Ron Rufo of the Chicago Police Department to present a program on practical steps that we as citizens can take to make our homes and ourselves more secure. He will speak on Thursday, November 12, at the St. Vincent DePaul Center, 2145 N. Halsted, Chicago, 7:00 pm.

Dr. Rufo is a crime prevention specialist. He is a sought-after speaker who specializes in working with individuals, neighborhood organizations, and local businesses to help prevent assaults, thefts, and burglaries. His presentation will cover the practical aspects of crime prevention, and actions that each of us can take to make our homes and ourselves more secure. With the recent incidents of assaults and burglaries in our neighborhood, his presentation promises to be very timely.
