Halsted (the old "Minnies" site) offers Monday night Zocala margaritas for $5 at the bar and the opportunity to watch urban street life go past while you are enjoy the Joint's exceptional Mexican street fare.
Food and drink range from $2 to $10, allowing you the opportunity to be a frequent diner without fear of breaking the bank. Start with the Joint's fresh guacamoles and salsas served with crisp corn, sweet plantain and malanga chips Tacos are handmade with homestyle tortillas, fresh salsas, and a selection of braised and grilled meats. Tortas and huarachas include Papas con Chorizo a speciality with homemade chorizo, roasted red bliss potatoes and molcajete salsa. Taco Joint also offers 50 tequilas made from 100% Blue Agave, Mexican beers on tap and unique "tequila lockers" - a first in Chicago.
