LCA Board votes on zoning issues - May 22 2008

During the LCA board meeting, members voted (10-0-1) to:
Object to breezeways or connectors within a rear yard space.
Support open, permeable space, at grade, in the rear yard
Deny the application for a variance at a prospective residence.

OZ PARK THEFTS!

Two recent thefts took place within Oz Park, where the bronze plaques from the Cowardly Lion and scarecrow statues were stolen.

CRIME ALERT!
A concerned member reports a "huge uptick in crime" recently in the alley (both sides) between Cleveland and Mohawk in the 2000 block. At least 9 break-ins (into both garages and residences) and 2 vehicle thefts have allegedly occurred.
PLEASE REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY TO THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT!
