Evening in the Garden Postponed to Sunday, September 18

Date

PLEASE ADVISE that due to rain and wind, we are rescheduling our Evening of the Garden event, which was scheduled today from 5 – 7 p.m. to NEXT SUNDAY, September 18 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Fire Station Park.

We all know that our Chicago weather is unpredictable, so we hope that you will still be able to join us for this amazing event next Sunday, September 18 at Fire Station Park! The good news? The weather forecast for next Sunday is looking gorgeous!

Local Food and Beverages

At Evening in the Garden, we are excited to welcome local restaurants who provide food for this favorite neighborhood event! This year, we are welcoming back two Evening in the Garden staples, J9 Wine Bar and Cedar Palace, and also welcome some new additions, Roots Pizza and Vanille Patisserie.

We are so grateful to the local businesses who are providing delicious food and beverages for our annual Evening in the Garden event!

J9 Wine Bar, a long-time sponsor of LCA events, will be back at Evening in the Garden this year serving up delicious wine!

Have you been to J9 recently? They just opened up an expansion just next door! Check them out at 1961 N. Halsted. Want to know more about the history of this neighborhood staple? Read about them in our recent article here.

We are so excited to welcome Vanille Patisserie as a new sponsor of LCA and a first-time supporter of Evening in the Garden! Vanille is strictly retail now and one of their best sellers are the macaroons and cheesecake. They love to do wedding cakes and especially like to see families, dogs and kids to come in and enjoy their hot chocolate, coffee and the best croissants in the city!

Check them out at 2108 N. Clark st. and read more about them here.

Cedar Palace is a favorite restaurant in the neighborhood and at LCA events! We are so excited to welcome back Cedar Palace to our Evening in the Garden Event. They will be serving up their authentic Mediterranean cuisine, including their amazing hummus!

Come enjoy some delicious Cedar Palace food and make sure to try them for dinner at 655 W Armitage Ave.

Roots Pizza will provide their tasty pizza at Evening in the Garden for the first time! Roots will provide their authentic and made-from-scratch quad cities-style pizza for our neighborhood party! Thank you so much to Roots for contributing to LCA!

Have you tried Roots Pizza yet? Check them out at our Evening in the Garden event and at 1610 N Wells St.

Entertainment

Lincoln Central Association Events are always full of magic – magic of our beautiful community garden, magic of our neighborhood gathering and the amazing close-up magic of Benjamin Barnes!

Benjamin Barnes Magic will be at our Evening in the Garden event on September 11! Benjamin Barnes provides entertainment that both kids and adults enjoy!

Thank you sponsors!
